    Responsible for screening, hiring, placing and retaining nurses for travel. Maintain relationships with nurses who are prepared to travel within 30 days. Serve as primary point of contact for nurses, acting as intermediary between nurses and Company departments. Ensure completeness and accuracy of nurse files.

    Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Individuals must be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Perform primary candidate sourcing function for travel. Receive and process inbound requests generated by email, website contact, phones, or other means. Initiate outbound recruiting calls based on prospecting techniques.
    • Screen and qualify nurses to determine suitability for assignments based on availability of travel, specialty area target, licensing, experience, and education requirements.
    • Select nurses who are eligible for assignments with Fastaff and generate qualified candidates for sales by matching requirements with nurse specialty, licensure state, experience and training.
    • Sell prospective nurses on benefits of working for organization by knowing and accurately conveying information about pay programs, incentive programs, benefits programs and travel programs. Solicit current nurses to take advantage of the employee referral program.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for nurses in the pipeline for placement by maintaining weekly contact. Act as intermediary between nurses and administrative departments. Quickly resolve nurse questions and concerns in a timely and diplomatic manner. Employee uses independent judgment in weighing and evaluating competing facts presented by client facility and the assigned nurse to formulate courses of action for resolution of conflict between parties involved.  Employee must understand and appreciate complex nature of the company’s relationship with client facility and understand and employ best human resources and management principles in isolating multi-disciplinary conflict and formulating creative solutions.
    • Maintain and ensure accurate nurse files including name, address, contact information and notes.
    • Monitor daily and monthly recruiter success metrics. Pro-actively address variances to ensure compliance with expected results.
    • Serve as a liaison to the Human Resources Department in matters related to nurse relations, performance issues, and workers compensation. Uses independent decision making in evaluating nurse performance issues or matters relating to nurse fitness for job assignments at client facilities, and applies general strictures of established policies to formulate recommendations for further discipline, or recommending termination of employment. 

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

    Individuals need to have the following experience and skills;

     

    • The minimum education required for this position is an Associates Degree, a Bachelors Degree is preferred.
    • The minimum related experience required for this position is 1 year in a staffing environment or 1 year of sales experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferable.
    • Demonstrates ability to follow instructions and work independently.
    • Demonstrates effective organizational skills and time management skills to achieve performance expectations.
    • Demonstrate analytical decision-making skills including the ability to extrapolate courses of action for the employment of nurses derived from generalized company written procedures and policies. Must exercise discretion in waiving or deviating from established policies under general supervision of senior management.
    • Effective prioritization and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environment with the objective of meeting Company performance expectations.
    • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and exercise extreme care in handling company information protected from trade secret disclosure. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
    • Uses tact, and discretion and independent judgment to analyze and resolve work problems
