However, we are so much more than that. In fact, we place highly qualified and specialized nurses in nationwide recognized facilities within ten days of a request. Ten days! How do we do this? We have an amazing and an incredibly fast growing Fastaff Team who work together efficiently to make this all happen. Due to the fact that we doubled in size last year, we are looking for incredibly talented people. This is where you come in and our need for a Payroll Specialist!


Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic individual with payroll processing experience to serve as Payroll Specialist within the Payroll Department.  Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll and maintaining all payroll related data within in-house systems and ensures completeness and accuracy of all files and records.


Day to day responsibilities of a Payroll Specialist:

  • Maintain and update records of payroll transactions such as employee withholding, garnishments, etc.;
  • Accurately key and maintain payroll related data such as timesheets and PTO requests;
  • Reconcile internal payroll to customer payroll systems to match hours billed to ensure accurate billing;
  • Assist with the accurate maintenance of the payroll systems including direct deposit information, wage, and tax data.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with in-office and field employees as well as external customers to promote a quality service image.


What skills do I need to bring to the table in order to be a successful Payroll Specialist?

  • Must have your high school diploma/GED;
  • Minimum of 3 years handling payroll processing;
  • Knowledge of current payroll/tax laws, regulations, and trends;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Be flexible with attitude and approach toward challenging assignments;
  • In-house payroll processing strongly preferred;
  • Healthcare experience helpful;
